The Morgan At Provost Square – Elevator Down

From: B A (Manager)

Subject: Elevator Down

Dear Valued Residents of The Morgan,

The team and I have been working all day to try to get the down elevator repaired. Unfortunately, the part we need for the repairs is uncommon and not in stock with our elevator company. We have a guarantee for delivery by Wednesday January 30, 2019 as it needs to be shipped from Texas. We are working on locating the part in New Jersey and New York but haven’t had much luck. We sincerely apologize for the inconvenience this causes you all and will continue to work towards a quicker solution with Otis Elevator Company. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to reach out to me directly at 201.433.7000 or email me at [email protected].

Thank you,
B A
Property Manager

New year, new B—?  Although elevators have been better since the property manager was finally hired, they still break down from time to time and B— doesn’t send out a notice when they do.  It would be nice to see that change.

Also, we now have official acknowledgement that Otis is still the elevator maintenance company.  So why did Absentee Jane swear all of last year that the elevators were breaking due to poor maintenance and that a new elevator company would fix everything?  Obviously the switch never happened.  This lends credence to our theory that the elevators installed were of the “bargain basement” variety – cheap parts that break often and are not in common use.  Blaming the vendor was just an excuse.

Subject: Come down to the holiday party!

Hey hey Morgan residents!

The holiday party has started! Come join us in the 8th floor living room! There’s food and drinks and lots of fun!

See you all soon,
B

This is exclusionary to residents of floors 7 and below who had to come UP to the party.  Just kidding!  This is the magical time of year where residents and management alike can get together, set aside our differences, and get turnt.  The party was pretty good and we think everyone enjoyed blowing off some steam and enjoying the food and drinks.  Extra thanks go out to building maintenance who cleaned all of that up, including the smashed red wine bottle in the 8th floor lobby.

The Morgan At Provost Square – The Morgan and City Harvest Food Drive

From: B A (Manager)

Subject: The Morgan and City Harvest Food Drive

Dear Valued Residents of The Morgan,

We hope you are all having a fantastic day! The Morgan is excited to participate in a food drive with City Harvest. We would like to thank Juhi for all her help in organizing this for our building. We truly admire your generosity and efforts to make this happen!

More than 1.2 million New Yorkers are struggling to put food on their tables. You can dish out the love and help our neighbors in need by donating directly to The Morgan Food Drive this holiday season! You can show your support by:

• Bringing non-perishable food items to the box located near the front desk
• Donating funds online at www.cityharvest.org/dailynewsvfd.
Every $1 donated helps City Harvest rescue four pounds of food that would otherwise go to waste.

Tips for community participation in The Morgan Food Drive:
• Most needed food items include: canned foods, vegetables, and proteins such as tuna or beans, peanut butter (in plastic jars), packaged macaroni and cheese, hot and cold cereals (packaged and family-sized), soups, and juice packs.
• Encourage neighbors to tell friends and family about The Morgan Food Drive to make an even bigger impact.

• Please note: City Harvest cannot accept unlabeled or dented cans, open packaging, products that need to be refrigerated, homemade foods, or expired products.
